休問梁園舊賓客，
茂陵秋雨病相如。

The clouds of Mount Song and the trees of Qin
have long existed apart;
A pair of carp – letter from you –
covers the great distance between.
But do not ask about the former guest
in your noble gardens;
In the autumn rain by the Mao tomb
the poet is lying ill.
